Alright then... who's up for this as a Fetchie social?

Long story short:

You start at Tower Bridge, cross it and continue on the opposite Embankment going upstream. When you get to the next bridge with pedestrian access you cross back over the Thames and continue upstream on the other bank. When you reach a bridge you cross. Keep going until you reach Hammersmith. Simple.

I first blogged about this on 14 Dec 14 and since then I have done it twice. Once starting on the South side of Tower Bridge, once on the North. Since that time, .B. has also taken the plunge and did it as her LSR yesterday :-)

It is: 15(ish) miles from Tower Bridge to Hammersmith, including 17 bridge crossings of the Thames.

The suggestion is to do this as a Fetchie social and run the route. I'm thinking it would be a Saturday or Sunday, obv, morning kick-off. (10ish?) There are various 'things' in April that folks might be committed to (some sort of big London running event apparantly) so I'm thinking end of Feb, beginning of March. Meet up in a pub at the end at Hammersmith for a beverage or two.

More details to follow, but can we first have a show of hands to say:
- who's interested?
- when's best for you? Sat/Sun (or don't mind)
- which dates you prefer? (or don't mind)
e.g.

14/15 Feb
21/22 Feb
28 Feb/1 Mar
7/8 Mar
14/15 Mar

I'm interested but somewhat limited by dates. Saturday 14 or 21 Feb or 7 March might work.

Sat and not the two first you suggest, which are half-term and reserved for possibly more distant outings. Tbh, the warmer and lighter the better.

Great idea.

Not sure about whether I could do it, so I will also not contribute to date choice, but join in if I can.

The Dartford Crossing is *not* a pedestrian bridge ;-)

There could be a short variant involving just the two pedestrian tunnels. Suitable for wet days, perhaps.

Suggest you check when Fulham / Chelsea are at home and avoid those dates!
