Hi all, a quick question about run type;

I done some training on my treadmill tonight [weather is horrendous]

10 min @ 6mph

10min @ 7mph

25 min @ 8 mph

and 15 min @ 7 mph. What type of run would you call this...tempo/interval/other ?

thanks,

There should be no such session as "General" :-)

I do my grey zone runs as general. There aren't many of those.

I still want and easy paced run category, then I could use recoveries for the intervals between the workbouts of my speed sessions, rather than bastardizing pushing buggy.

Fowlerk, You could opt for calling that a progressive run maybe.

Or bob. Bob is a good name for a run.

Gray if you ask me .

Fast section is faster than your 10km pace therefore not tempo by definition.

You could call it a progressive but as said probably gets logged under general

other first you need to establish you tempo pace if your going for sub 50 10k that's 8 mm.

I would say it would be around 8.15-30s.

Then 1 mile warm up 3-4 miles at tempo then 1 mile warm down what you've done is a progressie run nice but don't wanna go too quick otherwise you f*** yourself.

8mph too fast it's what I'd do for a tempo at moment (and I'm struggling to do 7 mm for a 10k at the mo so probly too fast for me too)
