I won, I won! To put this in context, there were only 5 women, but it still counts, right? There were only 11 seconds between me and the next girl, who isn't a great swimmer but a really fast runner. She beat me by about 2 minutes last year so that is a great improvement in my run time ![]() Swim: 7.00 Run: 13.31 Transition: a little over 1 minute, not sure exactly but will find out later. It was a LONG way from the pool to the treadmills that included lots of stairs. I now have a lovely medal which has a picture of skiers on the front: downhill, cross-country and jumps: some mix up with the skiclub. I can guarantee I will never have another medal like it ![]() Thanks for all your encouragement! And Ymee, if you fancy racing in Iceland, the pools are outdoor but they are filled with nice hot water. |

FANTASTIC! Well done, Trigirl ![]() We're looking at trying to sort our summer holiday out today as it happens. I could cope with the warm water...less sure about the sub-zero transition! |

Just got the final times: 21.29 total which means 58 second transition. Not bad! I persuaded (foolishly!) the girl who came second to join our swim training, so I'm going to have really work on my run for next year! |
