I AM HAVING A BEER I've had no booze for 2 weeks and have been looking forward to this moment. A small bottle of Innis & Gunn - a tasty brew from Edinburgh first sip is..... GREAT ! Toffee, caramel, oaky flavour... yum. |

Morning all. Best of luck to all runners and supporters. Just posting this to say I *won't* be running. My chesty cold has settled there for the duration. I woke up at 6, my head was swimming and.... I went back to bed. In short, it would be nuts for me to do this and the only reason I was going ahead anyway was because I deferred last year thru injury so can't defer again. While I am gutted not to be running (again), I'd rather that than end up in a St John ambulance tent or worse. |

McGoohan - commiserations - I've only just seen your post, and I did wonder where you were and whether we had somehow managed to miss you. That was the right decision, but it's a hard one to make Well done to all those Team 8ers - you all looked great, even at mile 22! Thanks. I watched most of it on the telly trying to do Fetchie spotting and felt a little less sorry for myself by signing up online for the Beachy mara
