You'll love it babsaf. It's a nice, fairly rural course with a nice, friendly atmosphere. Be prepared for a fairly long hill 2 or 3 miles from the end. It was my first marathon in 2009. Good luck!

Half for me, with the wife and my sister. Looking for a sub 90mins there,but the hill at Rumwell is looking bigger everytime Ive seen it of late.

Got mine yesterday and I'm getting excited for it now. It's the first time I've seen one of those foamy timing chips on the race number. Makes a nice change from having to thread the thing through your laces 5 minutes before the gun goes off.

Mickeysalz, I've driven that road so many times in the past but I cant remember how much of a rise it is, but I wont be too worried if I walk some of it. Just want to get to the end and feel great having finished and raised money for the Beacon Centre @ Musgrove. My Dad is being treated for Cancer at the Centre. If the weather permits I'll be the one dressed as a Ladybird. djwatson74 I nicked the avatar from the gallery page! Thought it was good when I saw it. No race pack yet Really looking forward to getting it.

Under threat of death if I beat my brothers time of 2 hours 10! Dont think I'll need to worry as I wont be back for at least 2 & 1/2 hours.
