I ordered my train tickets between Schiphol and Brussels on Sunday. Despite buying them the day they went on sale I failed to get the super duper advance tickets for the Thalys on the way back, so now I have to get the train at half seven on Monday morning instead of half nine

2 weeks into my 12 week P&D plan, going okay part from a dreadful attempted tempo run last Thursday when I really suffered in the heat. How is everyone else progressing?

not brilliant. first three weeks went really well and the LSRs were good. The last three not so good, two runs cut short from 15 to 10 due to heat. One week didn't manage a proper LSR due to heat/holidays/school ending etc... So still not managed my 15 mile LSR and there was 18 scheduled for this week or next, but there's still lots of time to catch up. |

Struggling in the heat, 3 * 18 milers done but theyve been slow and tough - missing next week with the holidays so hoping the weather will cool on my return

We seem to be bearing down hard on the season. I got a little distracted by summer hols so came late to my LSRs. Managed a 31km weekend before last which felt terrible (but I did go on Friday night after work), but my 33km on Saturday just gone felt ok. My times seem to be slower than this stage ahead of previous marathons, but I've been making a concious effort to run them a little slower since reading http://www.fetcheveryone.com/cms-40 Good luck for this week fitzer, and hope you had a good race yesterday, Gary Fatbloke. |

Add me to the list please - Nice, 10th November. I am achieving the mileage in my RW 16-week plan, but my LSRs are slower than I would like. I have been doing them on Friday evenings rather than my usual Sunday mornings and wearing a back-pack as running home from work but still, they should be faster at this stage if I want to hit my time target in Nice. |

I won't be doing Langdale after all. Might amble round the half if I'm not working that Saturday, but I'm nowhere near ready for a marathon.
