On Wednesday I had a Cannula in arm for a few hours, very small amounts of blood taken, ie 3 ml, each time it was washed with saline solution.

Yesterday I noticed a very small lump on finger which looks like a swollen vein. It's not painful unless I poke it.

Do I need to do anything or will it go away on its own.

Not a doctor, but I had the same when I had my first child, panicked completely, and called the hospital. It was nothing to worry about and it went away on its own. Hope yours does too.
