Right. We have a minor constitutional issue to address on Monday. The, ahem, eagerly anticipated Female Nobel Laureates death match will probably start on Wednesday.

You have, Wrigs, yes. It may be a triumph. It may not, however.

Anyway, the constitutional issue.

That Christmas shopping thing we did at Christmas was ‘unofficial’ and was not to count to SuperDeath XX, remember?

Well we have three options:

(a) leave it at that

(b) reclassify it as 20-01 and only run eleven regular deathmatches this year

(c) give Mazripan a bye into a future deathmatch under the combativité rule.

Note we can’t give it a bye straight through to SuperDeath without needing to rework how the whole tournament works, as the current structure relies on twelve completed regular deathmatches with a gold, a silver and two bribes apiece.

Thoughts, anyone (especially Wrig, Mulbs and Ankh)

Bronzes. Not bribes. Obviously.

It would interesting (and maybe very funny) to see the committee try to come up with a deathMatch that could include mazripan without it sticking out like a spare gudgeon.

However, I reckon you should acknowledge what turned out to be a bit of a Christmas Classic as a real DeathMatch, cut off its strings and let it dance and sing on its own.

Okay. If there are no dissenters we’ll call the Nobel one 20-02 and enjoy Mazripan and friends at SuperDeath XX

I did try and think of a Mazipan related DM and came up with 'what did the Tudors ever do for us' but could not find a good resource.
