I'm not the only Fetch quiz compiler it seems, so I thought I'd start this up. I'll put my weekly quiz rounds on here, and if you hear of/think of a decent quiz question, stick it on here and give me my Sunday afternoons back. 1st up, Sunday Night's On This Day Round:

Have a team of four and you'd get a good majority of them right.

One pub quiz I used to do didn't take much initiative from the quizmaster. Ten cards from a box of Trivial Pursuit and you had six rounds. The prize being £20 over the bar.

I've run a few non-pub quizzes as fundraisers for schools, etc., or simply set the questions and cleared off before it starts!

I’d struggle with most of those, but would take a guess at several. Do we post guesses?

One of my favourite sneaky questions for a film round:

When was the first Batman film released?

On a different note, the last round of the quiz we did at the office summer party was a corker - not so much becvause of the questions (though they were pretty good), but the format: the value of correct answers increased with the question (so a correct answer to question 1 is worth 1 point, a correct answer to question 8 is worth 8 points) BUT you had to get every question right or you score nothing. If you got as far as question 5 and were confident in your answers but a bit unsure about 6 you could choose to stop at 5 and, if they were all right, you'd score 15 for the round. If you chose to answer all ten you'd either get 55 or 0.

We do something similar Raemond. The final round is either family fortunes- big points for getting top answer- or gambit, which is multiple choice, and you get to bet five points per question, so it’s worth as much as the other rounds put together
