More likely to get runners though for a Christmas party and a chance for partners to go Christmas shopping in the metropolis of MK. Could be self supported.

Just a thought, no worries - calendar is pretty vacant apart from Luton.

one of my concerns is does having to many races on the same course dilute the field ? Hoping to continue the good friday event annually that's for sure |

Careful this doesn't turn into something similar to the event in Germany where the 100 club chap runs the same route every week and calls it a marathon. I get the impression that in Roger's view this is just a training run. I do think that having the same event on multiple dates dilutes the value of the race, becomes less of an event and more of a regular get together, or a convenient way of racking up numbers. Personal view of course. |

Naomi I think the same, that it's more of a "get together and a chance, for those who want, to rack up numbers" but only as a positive not negative. I mean, not every week, that's really much too much. But I think every month or at least warm months, it's a great "get together" thing indeed. They have that series of Sat+Sunday marathons every month for 6 winter months (and I'm telling you, in Poland it does get cold, and everybody happy to run even in -20 drgrees!) and around 40 people always come and indeed race each other. It's always 3;15 winner and 40 people finish 3-4.30). And they have a party at night and run again next day. Can't see any negatives in that... |
