Ah, you gave it a good shot Zeb. That's all you can do. Take it and learn from it. It shows you can run at that pace, you just need to build it in for longer.
After a good run last night, I'm looking for a 10k to see how close I can get this summer.

Awaiting official results but Garmin says a reet lovely 49.31 for my 10k today. Chip timing so hopefully official results will be similar! Hurrah!

Thanks, The poor lady mayor was shaking hands at the finish line & I nearly threw up on her! I'm a classy bird eh! Thankfully I managed to compose myself!

haha I think it's a good thing nobody has ever tried to shake my hand at a finish line, don't see that ending well for them!

"throwing up on the mayor", that can never be good
Unless it's Boris Johnson

Thanks Scribs. Yes I can't help thinking it's not wise to place a Mayor there! She was very nice & put her arm round me & guided me away from the finish telling me I'd be ok! Bless her! Can't help thinking I may well have looked a bit of a sight!

Now you see, that's what I'm going to find hard, to run so hard it hurts all the way through, not just for 30 seconds at the end
