Legs not feeling too bad, Gentle 5k run/walk today and some upper body work. then maybe another gentle 5 with maybe 1 or 2k at near race pace on Weds/thurs before the race? Not too much?

Went brilliantly. Just got chip times - 47:32 Went of bit too fast for first K as started right at back and got nervous I was geting trapped, then setlled down to regular 4.45-4.55 k's until pushing on last K.
First K was fastest, which was a mistake, and legs began to hurt by end and felt tired, but in 3 lap race still got slightly faster on each lap. Am really pleased. Being 4 stone lighter does make a difference!
