Nearly there! 50:03 at the Sweatshop 10k in Cambridge last weekend the day after a 17-miler. I only decided to do the race a few days before.

Oh, so close! Impossible to believe you wouldn't have done it without the 17 miler the day before!

My legs were tired but I didn't feel too bad. I even had enough in the tank for a bit of a sprint finish. Wasn't quite enough though.

Next time Rich. Well done though, particularly impressive after the 17 miler the day before!

Posted a decent 51 minutes at St Ives today, felt tough but OK once I'd got my breath back. Think I'll have a crack at 50 in York - does anyone know what the course is like?
It feels really good to be getting back to fitness.

Well done F4rley I'm sure you'll easily go sub 50 in York. Make sure you get quite close to the front though. There are a lot of slower runners/walkers. There are slight slopes in places but definitely not hilly. And it starts at 9 so it won't be too hot.
Good luck!
