Ah jomo that’s just bad luck. I’m sure things will get going again next year, keep the faith!

That’s bad luck jomo, fingers crossed it gets rearranged for you in 2021.

Lol WW, I won’t see Chris in 2021 unless I’m lucky enough to catch up with him at the baggage trucks post race.

Jack Daniels formula is another of the books I bought, thumbed through, and pinched a couple ideas from. I’m yet to run a race after following a proper plan but like to think I know roughly what I want to do before races. In my head most of that is just getting to the start line uninjured, tapered and with a mindset to hurt a bit when it gets tough.

The hurting bit is where I feel I sometimes let myself down, most of my harder training is around threshold intensity and I do very little above that level, so very rarely practice the hurt zone/pain cave aspect of running.

As a consolation for the actual Fleet HM/England Masters race being cancelled (twice), I ran the virtual Fleet half today in a 1:17:18 "PB" (to the extent you can count a time trial as a PB).

Very happy with that as the rain and wind definitely were not my friends today and I was expecting to run about a minute and half slower. I resisted the temptation to turn it into a virtual England Masters race as I would have looked a bit knobby running around the park on my own in an England shirt!

Great job Jomo! wish i had the mental discipline at the moment to run a HM TT on my own. I haven't even been able to manage a 5 Mile TT, took one look at the weather this morning and gave up. I miss races

Yeah great going Jomo, to run a PB solo in inclement weather is absolutely amazing.
