Haha well the good news is we got Becky to her race sort of on time and she got a PB (2.20) but the bad news is the rest of us didn't!

I did 2.03.4 (just wasn't there at all right from the start) and Adders got 2.02.6. He's actually staying over at mine tonight because we all went for a meal and it was too late for the last train home!

Haha we were thinking you got some kind of rollercoaster hangover pdavey :P

Ye was a disappointment but trying not to kick myself too much. It was a very close race though as expected.

So my season officially ends tomorrow. Last roll of the dice will be Exeter. I will run like my life depends on it. Then a break from training that I could really do with....

Nice to meet you btw Alex. Hope youre not feeling too bitter from the 5k.

Sorry to hear you got ill pdavey - by the way, Steve Cram was there too! The blue track was fast but I was not in a state to run fast! Do you have any more races left this season?

It's been a week feel ready to say what actually happened haha.

In short. Watched my mate race, warmed up cutting it a bit fine anyway, did my usual mile loop but ran straight into a (usually opened) industrial estate. Ran all the way back progressively faster, strides included only to hear the gun go off as I entered the stadium.

I got put in the A race but I felt second hand and suffered big time, attempted 76s but died really badly off the back of the group and struggled in with 16.23.

Now starting to feel a bit stale but I'm going to run one more 5k on the track at least on Tuesday and will be going off a bit more reserved. Lets just see what happens :)

Thought Id post once i got over the disappointment of last week (well im not really over it as such but there we go). Exeter was another 2:02 performance. Gutted not to break 2 mins this season. I really did give it everything but I just didnt have it in me at the end of the day. Im still grateful at the progress Im made nonetheless. Taking a break now. Some changes needed for next season...

Hope your 5k went well Alex.
