B2 stop it, as usual you are underestimating your talent, I suspect you'll get very close

I can run too if you like, I know that brings out the speed demon in you

Penultimate reps before the HM, tried 4x1M in a monsoon. First one was sluggish as I take ages to get going at my age then did 6.35, 6.26, 6.28. This is a standard course I use and strictly speaking a slighly short mile ;-) Recorded on my TomTom but some of the optical HRM data is bogus (too high, my real max is low 160s).

Split Summary
===
1) 2.77km - 16:09(5:49/km) 124/158bpm 172cal 10.3/17.24kmph
2) 0.02km - 11(7:26/km) 127/132bpm 2cal 8.06/9.07kmph
3) 1.58km - 7:24(4:40/km) 151/176bpm 93cal 12.85/14.76kmph
4) 0.16km - 1:11(7:23/km) 135/145bpm 11cal 8.14/12.67kmph
5) 1.58km - 6:35(4:10/km) 159/180bpm 92cal 14.4/16.31kmph
6) 0.23km - 1:41(7:12/km) 139/159bpm 15cal 8.35/13.72kmph
7) 1.58km - 6:26(4:04/km) 158/180bpm 93cal 14.76/17.82kmph
8) 0.18km - 1:25(7:50/km) 149/178bpm 11cal 7.67/14.4kmph
9) 1.58km - 6:28(4:06/km) 164/189bpm 92cal 14.62/17.78kmph
10) 2.17km - 13:39(6:17/km) 126/194bpm 137cal 9.54/14.8kmph

Final interval session before the big day, did 2x2M with 2.14 recovery into a strongish SE wind
on first one, behind me on return.
Wed Oct 5 9am IN 3.17 13:37 4:18 13.97 0 0 155 179 0 0 667

Wed Oct 5 10am IN 3.17 13:12 4:10 14.41 0 0 154 166 0 0 642

Hard to compare with the previous 2M reps but seems better. Just gentle running the next 3 days.

Good luck HoD, I'll be miles behind, doubt I will be able to hold sub-8 for HM.

Good luck HOD and FP. There's a giant hill in the 10th mile of my course so I think I'll be slowing down in the second half rather than ramping it up... :-(

I will be well happy with 1:44:59. But think my PW of 1:48 is in danger. :( :(
