Have just bought a cycleops fluid2 I think the model is. works on my race wheels, and my sons 'jump bike' with knobbly tyres

hello i have got a turbo trainer frist time on it tonight it is a cheap one does not say how fast im going or how many miles im going . but my question is do i use my own gears on it as there is a a thing that goes from the back to the handel bars to make it harder too , and is it to be loud thank you for your help

I use a combination of the bike gears and the resistance until it feels like the right resistance. And McG, if you get to use it near the sofa, you're lucky. The family are tiring of the burst eardrums

If you put turbo trainer into youtube you will see lots of folk falling off. I would take that as a how not to tutorial.
