Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

When Paula Yates died, the police searched her house and found narcotics, amphetamines and anabolic-steroids.

But they couldn't find the other little girl.

Wikipedia had a list of these which was deleted from the main encyclopaedia, but it is preserved at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:InMooseWeTrust/List_of_unusual_personal_names.

My personal favourites are Boo Moore (American baseball player), Adolf Lu Hitler Marak (Indian politician) and Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (named as a protest against the Swedish law which bans stupid names).

There is also a story in Freakonomics about parents who named their baby girl Shithead (pronounced sh'-teed), but it is probably made up.

Thankfully, in Holland you aren't allowed really stupid names either... :)

I had to laugh at Binks' post :)

I was at an ante-natal class when pregnant with my twins. The midwife asked me what I was calling them. I told her Edward and Isobel and she said how refreshing, there is a girl up on the ward who has just called hers Thunder and Storm! :-)
