I was told that rinsing straight after wearing would reduce the problem so tried that and then thought - why not add a bit of detergent?

Now I hand wash straight away and have a bottle of detergent in the bathroom for the purpose.

Wash straight after (or at least the same day), non-bio detergent with antibacterial laundry additive à la Dettol or the Tesco own brand equivalent. Seems to work best.
