Went last night. Loved it :):) Big dorky smile throughout.

Can't remember who asked but just watch the original 3. Life is too short to waste time on the prequels.

Queued for ages to see the original in 1977 (and have this on a ropey old video) - but never seen any of the other films. Not sure I can be arsed with the current one.

Tony - perhaps you can help me remember something which occured to me when I watched the new one.

I have a fairly strong recollection of watching the 1977 film in a specific cinema with my dad (I would have been 5 or 6 at the time). Before the film, I think, there was a short film shown which seemed to have something to do with motorbikes in a sandy environment. I'd love to find out more details to check if my memory is that good, but I've drawn a blank so far.

It could be, of course, that this was for a completely different film, but I've not really been to the cinema too many times as a youngster so it could only relate to a small handful of films.

Anyone?

Thought that Highlander type one was for Empire? (Read something about it being restored and available on YouTube now).

larkim - you are probably right. I am still trying to dredge up some memory of motorbikes in a sandy environment, but without success. Off to see the new one tonight.
