Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Finsbury is way too busy and narrow and twisty WL. Both have the same sort of path.

I prefer Brockwell to Wormwood also, I do like that pub opposite too ;)

Enthusiastic!
The Prince Regent is good, but this one is an old haunt of mine too - nice beers...

We don't have to go there, I think I was just having a wistful moment - back to the days when I hung out in Herne Hill a lot and life was a lot simpler...

Have we decided what the hens will be wearing yet? Perhaps we should all hire chicken costumes.

I do like the idea of chicken costumes. Depends how much we want to beat the stags, we could wear chicken outfits, provide a distraction (someone in tiny shorts, even tinier jacket and loads of slap?) and leave 'em for dust.

Snigger. Perhaps we should wear our Seville marathon outfits?

About This Thread

Maintained by Naomi P
If you didn't know, BigChiefRunningBore and I are getting married in May. Hoorah!

Sadly, we can't invite everyone to the wedding so we thought we'd take over a Parkrun for a Stags vs Hens race at 9am on Saturday 5th May and invite as many people as would like to turn up to run with us. All welcome, it's not a clique thing.

It'll be at Brockwell Park, short walk from Herne Hill overground or Brixton tube.

Led by Chief and DaveB, the stags will (optionally) be in drag. Dave has promised to wear a garter. Contro will be doing a progressive run as he arrives through Brixton in a dress and compression socks.

There may be champagne and cake at the finish line if we get organised but we'll go on for breakfast at the Lido Cafe for bloody marys and bacon sandwiches. thelidocafe.co.uk
