Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'd be happy to go to either of them, my only concern would be how big Brockwell is these days... maybe it's worth us (I can volunteer for this) emailing the race directors of each to see if they mind us all showing up... How many stags & hens are we assuming there's going to be?

Recap for Wormwood vs Brockwell -

No of runners = 30 - 50 vs c.150
Tea / coffee near to both
Wormwood on the Central line / Brockwell on Northern and mainline
Routes - Wormwood mainly grass, 2 laps / Brockwell wide concrete paths, 2 laps

Personally I'd rather run on concrete paths than grass. Will it be too big, or will that just add to the atmosphere?

About This Thread

Maintained by Naomi P
If you didn't know, BigChiefRunningBore and I are getting married in May. Hoorah!

Sadly, we can't invite everyone to the wedding so we thought we'd take over a Parkrun for a Stags vs Hens race at 9am on Saturday 5th May and invite as many people as would like to turn up to run with us. All welcome, it's not a clique thing.

It'll be at Brockwell Park, short walk from Herne Hill overground or Brixton tube.

Led by Chief and DaveB, the stags will (optionally) be in drag. Dave has promised to wear a garter. Contro will be doing a progressive run as he arrives through Brixton in a dress and compression socks.

There may be champagne and cake at the finish line if we get organised but we'll go on for breakfast at the Lido Cafe for bloody marys and bacon sandwiches. thelidocafe.co.uk
