There are plenty of short-date energy gels etc. on eBay, that's my main source. The only products I've had any problems with are the SIS gels, they seem to go off after a couple of years so maybe they're less packed with preservatives? Their fancy protein ones tend to curdle after a year too, yuk. I keep them in the fridge, but I'm not sure whether that helps or not.

Back in the summer my brother presented me with one of Mum's Christmas puddings from the year before last. Here you go, he said, you like Christmas pudding. It was delicious!
