fyi I've done my pacing chart for the race and it shows a 19 hour finish. Can you run the bear in 11 hours? No, I thought not.

Spartathlon has got to be much easier as its all downhills and you have checkpoints every few hundred meters...

That is only to stop Nx getting lost Vamosblahdiblah. She has stipulated that all CP's must be visible from the previous CP and in the hours of darkness the route must be lined with luminous pixies.

Battle for the front cover of Ultra Tales is a good idea or..

Loser forfeit is to run an ultra in a bear/spartan costume?

Haha! What a brilliant idea - yes, I'm part of Team GB heading off to "The Bear" - there are 3 of us :-)

I was going to take it easy and go for a sub-30 buckle, (hey - there is 21,000' of ascent) but might have to put a bit of effort in now.

Might be worth dropping a line to parkrun HQ / Tom Williams to see if we can get a mention on the podcast / newsletter.

I am not sure parkrun would work... Utah is 7 hours behind, with a 06:00 start a 24 hour run at The Bear would be a 13:00 finish in UK time. I don't think it will be too hard to dip under the 4 hour mark at parkrun!
