this is the beetle from my new life in May blog upside down on its back, it fell over the stem of a leaf (it had only just emerged from the larval stage i think as it was trying to dry its wings just before this)

ahh, some great pics from upside down! shame I missed it but knee's playing up a bit, I blame the steep hill up to the local tump, which I ran up for Top day and then promptly forgot to post the pics!

Reds in that ?begonia? are great.
We only do well at identification of edible plants and fungi. Beyond that we flail :-p
