Just out of interest, does your running club have a "Social Media Policy"?

If so (or even if not), what are your views regarding this?

We don't, and I'm not sure we need one.

We work on the basis of 'having a quiet word' face to face if someone is overstepping the mark on FB but even that is very rarely needed. Most people behave sensibly in our FB group (you have to be approved by admin to join) and our Twitter feed is virtually dormant. Race photos are shared on FB but as far as I'm aware tagging is only done where the people in the photos have either tagged themselves or have given approval.

Are we being hopelessly naive? Is there something we need to think about? We don't have juniors, so that's one worry less.

I would say a social media policy is only really needed if you have juniors.

I'm impressed with England Athletics englandathletics.org sorting out the social media policy for my local tennis club was a nightmare.

Got something to say?
