What Nick said, with the inclusion of church at 0900 and The Queen at 1500hrs. Running on Boxing Day (with my new Garmin (as long as MrsC has spotted the blatant hints :-)). |

Yorkshire Mince Pie
Big family gathering at my sister’s. I don’t actually have a big family, but all the family I have apart from 2 who live in America will be there. Me, mum and dad, sister, BIL and nephew, mum’s dad, dad’s mum, dad’s brother and (for part of the time) my godmother. We’ll be spread over two houses and a hotel when it comes to sleeping but will all be in the same house for most of the day. I’m going over on Friday, then Christmas eve is the pantomime and a meal out in the afternoon. On the day I’m not sure exactly how it will play out in terms of the order of things – the last two years my nephew has been small enough that he can wait for presents until everyone makes it over, whereas this year I suspect he’ll be up rather earlier. At some point I will run (not least because I need to get the dog out of the house for a while and tire him out) but I’m not sure whether it will be before/after breakfast/presents. I’m not responsible for cooking though (my job is providing alcohol), so there should be time for at least a short run. The run will almost certainly be before lunch, which will almost certainly be fairly late giving me time to get out and work up an appetite. Hopefully the weather will be OK to get my nephew playing on his new bike, although the option of spending the afternoon/evening in an alcohol induced snooze is also rather appealing… |
