So, the organisers have made their decision...writing a letter to all competitors. Nothing really new except that you can have a refund but it will come out of the money that was to be given to charity... sheffieldmarathon.com

I see the organisation has been taken over by the RunforAll lot. Which is good, if the organisation of their other events is anything to go by.

The finish down Ecclesall Rd would be fun though :-)

Might not see my PB in my home town ever again. Looks like a nice route though :-)

Scary route! But a really good challenging one and great to take in some hills and part of the Peak District and then finish in the city centre after the support along Ecclesall Road. So, Rother Valley Parkrun on Saturday, long run on Sunday, club run on Tuesday and hill work on Thursday. Better get started 😁

Just fed the route into map my run, about 950ft of elevation gain, most in the first 5.25 miles.. :)

You'll have a long wait for water if they forget to order it though, there won't be many public-spirited citizens lining Sheephill Road ;-). (Joking. I'm sure the new organiser won't make the same mistakes.)

I like that elevation graph, 5 miles up to start with and then mostly downhill for the final 8, perfect.
