theguardian.com if you're looking for something quite light. Though at this time of year a pea & ham soup might be more what you're looking for.

The blending of stock and peas worked really well.

I’ve had good success with the carbonara recipe recently mobkitchen.co.uk

Breadcrumbing. There was the beginning of a discussion on it on Wriggling Snake's blog, but rather than litter his comments, I thought I'd open this up to the greater Fetch community.

How do you do breadcrumbing?

We usually have plenty of bread in the freezer and I take a slice, put it in the food processor and let that smash it up into tiny bits. If I have, say, a turkey steak for making into a schnitzel, I have some beaten egg in one bowl and the breadcrumbs in another. I dip the turkey in the egg then coat it in the crumbs.

However, they don't always stick so well, and I never get anything to look very 'pro'. For one or two recipes I add a small portion of ground almonds to the breadcrumbs and that seems to stick better (and subtly changes the flavour, but I think for the better).

So how about you? Is there a better way to be doing this?

Rosehip
flour first McG, then egg then breadcrumbs. The flour helps the egg to coat the meat.

I usually mix a little mile into the egg as thinner seems to stick better.

I make breadcrumbs with the end of old loaves and freeze those.
