Is anyone a regular runner at this race ? Is it always held on the same weekend ?
Tempted to book accommodation for 2016 before the rush and before prices start to rise
I know I'm VERY early

The last few years it's been the last Sunday in April but it has been in May before. If you look in here at one of the race listing for the HM or full it should also link you to all the previous years so you can look at the date pattern. Or alternatively go on the website and drop the organisers an email. I'm sure they will have an idea by now.

Isn't it the Sunday nearest Shakespeare's "birthday"?

I can't afraid, I saw a lot online last year but when I rang / emailed round they were all booked up so we ended up in a travelodge - which was fine if a bit basic. For next year I've booked up really early in the holiday inn to get an early bird discount. I would book soon though before they sell out, anywhere central is ideal for the start / finish and there was very good parking available last year if you end up a little bit outside.

It's shakespeare birthday celebration weekend too which I guess Increases toutists - just looked to book theatre tickets for the Saturday but disappointingly there is nothing on - saw a great show (death of a salesman with Antony sher) last year

I suppose we should start a 2016 thread too.

I do remember the hotels/B&Bs were all booked up very early last year.
But it's pretty close to the M40/A46 etc. so at a pinch it isn't too bad perhaps to get to if you drive. And there was plenty of parking too.

(I shan't be joining you in 2016! Nothing personal. :-))
