A very well-written article, that. I didn't find anything to disagree with, which is quite unusual in those kind of pieces. Shame they didn't mention just how many parts of the chips described are designed here in the UK, and in places like St. Albans & Swindon which you might not necessarily expect. |

[Principles of layout haven't changed very much, just that not very much of it is done by hand when you have 10 billion+ transistors. Still needs clever people thinking hard though.]
