Ally, would like to know what your thoughts are about the lobster mitts when you have had a chance to try them out.

I got innov8 ones for running. Not sure if you mean to cycle with Corrah. Much more comfortable. The ones I have are a little too toasty but beats me having sore hands.

I bought a cheap pair of ski gloves from costco for the bike, work very well. I had to buy the kiddies ones for my wee hands, they were even cheaper.

Ally, would say the hills definitely take MOK marathon into Ultra equivalent in some ways, would also advise your training to involve a few miles of hills at the end of your long runs or long hilly runs.

In saying how hilly it was, I was still 14 minutes faster there than the London Marathon this year, so I guess hills beat heat!

Thanks katypie. Other half looking at them for cycling. I get really cold hands so always useful to know what keeps the fingers toasty :)

Currently, Planet X are selling lobster mitt type cycling gloves for £13. Got to be worth a try at that price

On a similar'ish theme, PlaneX have waterproof socks for £13 - I've ordered a pair ( for hill running through bogs, but through snow would also be good ) on the basis that they hopefully are better than Sealskinz which are a lot more expensive and don't work that well I find.
I'll report back
