“Not quite good enough to win real races”? That is entirety uncalled for. She’s just won the Scottish Marathon Championship (which is why we’re talking about her). Like HappyTimes said, you have entirely the wrong opinion of her.

Her WAVA will I am sure confirm she is plenty good enough to win real races, Stirling Marathon for one, was second at Alloa half, one of the highest quality fields over that distance usually each year in Scotland and has as stated above competed and won at many of the "real" races. parkrun is supposed to be a welcoming place for all, not just slow people and locals. I would rather more of the really good runners took part in a regular basis at parkruns all over following her example. Running isn't just for the 9 hour marathoners.

She enjoys running, and parkrun. What's the issue? If she was five stone overweight and took 40 minutes to do parkrun would you still have the issue with her traveling and enjoying parkrun? Many do parkrun tourism after all.

How very dare she run faster than anyone else in her category. Maybe need to ban anyone that has a bit running ability from parkrun and keep it only for walkers.
