Black Rock is tempting, but it’s the day after the Kirkintilloch 10K, so not sure about that. Think this will be my 4th Kirky, always a very enjoyable race. Apart from last year when we had horizontal hail, thanks to storm Hector.

Dei - you can "jog" Black Rock and it wouldn't take anything out of you. You could consider running through the sea as a recovery therapy, like an ice bath (it's actually not that cold)! Top tip for Black Rock entry if it sells out online in 18 minutes like it has in previous years - they have an old school form, download, print and post option too, which doesn't "sell out" at all! G

physio has said that I can start running a bit again after spraining my ankle - I can't run off road yet - can anybody tell me if the paths at Dunfermline parkrun are tarmac?

Tarmac all the way at Dunfermline Lorraine. Glad you're OK again. I thought it was your shoulder - or was that about 2 years ago?! Hven't seen you for aaaages! Dunfermline has a couple of hills x 3 laps in it! I may go this Saturday and do it at plod pace! G
