I did it last year and it was horrific. It was run on ice and there were many fallers. I took a wrong turn near the end and didn't run the full distance bit was abot 7 mins down on what I had hoped for HG - last year was Livingston, I think you are thinking of Bathgate which I also did a few years back. Livingston did have a few trail sections but was otherwise on cycle paths or footpaths around houses and had a few minor road crossings, one of which there was a near miss when the car skidded on ice and a runner couldn't stop. I also recall a group of faster runners who suddenly caught and passed me who I suspect had taken a wrong turning somewhere also. On a non icy day it would be an OK route |

Oops yeah, soz. Forgot about your ice-skating PB attempt Bazo. That was nasty. When do you break out the cotton wool, by the way? G

Due to delays in getting our Cambuslang Harriers Down by the River 10k and 3k race entries launched, the entries are down on normal levels. This is a club led event (money used for young athlete development) costing 11.50/9.30 for the 10k and 6-7 pounds for the 3k with a pie/sausage roll, drinks included, a bargain! So if you are free on Sunday the 19th May at around 11am and looking for a fast, flat PB course run it would be great to see you. bookitzone.com |

Good luck getting the numbers Iain. Good luck too to anyone doing Grangemouth 10K this weekend. Still my PB course from 100 years ago. G

Doing the Etape that day Iain or I'd be in. Would recommend it to anyone, fast and flat like the man says! |

Anyone else running the Livingston Half Marathon on Sunday? Still only down as a 10K on the race calendar. 10K at Cambuslang sounds good. |

Iโll be at Livi on Sunday but for the 10k. I only realised after I signed up that itโs Grangemouth this weekend. Never mind. I like new races when I have no idea where the route goes, especially as I work in Livingston ๐
