It can be difficult at Victoria and there is normally a bit of a clash between the front of the pack and the lapped runners.

Today wasn’t as bad as it has been to come through lapped runners but you still get some running three abreast in groups which can be hard at the fossil grove and the the proceeding wee hill.

Enjoyed it today and a PB mid long run so all good.

Dvorak, did you do Plean today? I was a marshal and thought a guy running might’ve been you😀

I saw him say elsewhere he did a flat parkrun so I don’t think it was plean!! Mind you Stu also thought he saw him at Victoria so maybe he has doppelgängers everywhere...

Oh aye, there is nae shortage of people looking quite like me :-p My mate was injured to I decided to leave Victoria and Dippy for another day (although if I'd left earlier I might have gone anyway). Strathclyde instead and a very surprising big improvement. Reddin oot the greenhouse seems to be better training than actually running. Definitely NOT Plean!

Well done on your 20 M_N, sounds good :-)

Well just over the hill from Plean it is currently pishing it doon, so nae doot there will be mud aplenty. Although also an overnight frost predicted so there might be frozen mud. Enjoy, likes :-p

Falkirk for me I think - sunny, dry and Baltic.

I saw mention of a new ultra for the summer, but can't remember the name just now. Starting at Cultybraggan and round Loch Earn. 50 bumpy km, or 60 with a climb up a Ben added. I was along the South Loch Earn road for the first time a couple of weeks ago: scenic, but at some points *very* narrow.

Ben Vorlich Ultra - he tried to organise it last year but didn't get enough interest so had to cancel, same guy that does the Ochils Ultra.

I don't quite get the option to NOT climb Ben Vorlich, I mean you cannae say you did the Ben Vorlich Ultra if you didnae climb Ben Vorlich, surely ?? ;-) Maybe he should have called it the Loch Earn Ultra instead......

I'd have been interested, it's quite close by, but only 2 weeks before the Devil, so will need to wait another year

Ah, thanks Gus. Very likely, Ally. There was a bit just above the shore which had some space roadside. I stopped for snaps (see below) and some people were returning to cars having by the looks of it just come off the hills.

If the summer wasn't over busy a Ben Vorlich Ultra would be of great interest. Can't even remember which of Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin I have climbed. It was too wild to cross the Bealach to the other!
