Has anyone ran the Glenrothes 10k? How close is it to the station?

Kaiser, I'm not a member of a club myself, but am under the impression that while most cater for all abilities, they might have different definitions of that (like Lorraine said). They'll probably state on their website if they have any minimum requirements. As for Linlithgow AC in pacticular, get in touch with Spikeyboy, who is with them - I'm sure they'll be very welcoming. :-)

What spicedapple said.

Portobello require that you can run half an hour (or at least used to). Most have groups for all abilities or mixed ability groups and club runs.

Debs I have a load of friends run with Kirky. They're all stark raving mad. They're not Fetchies, but you'd love them.

Debstir - they organise quite a few events round this way. I know a few of the runners - they are quite supportive of each other when travelling to races further afield - its a shame that in this area though there isnt another option other than travelling to Stirling or Glasgow

Debstir- the Olympians are a very good group of people- my running came on a lot when I managed to run regularly with the club. People were really friendly when I started and I felt included very quickly. I had to cut back on my attendance last year due to injury and real life getting in the way of running but have recently started back with the club and am really enjoying it. Intervals on Tuesday, tempo Thursday and a longer run organised at weekends, bleep test on a regular basis- its worth a punt...
