I do like the Glasgow September 10k :) Hope you get it under control soon Duchess (( ))

Now.... Did I smell cake Brig Bash is in the calendar forevermore :) I'm hoping to get my PB down a fair it then (no sure if the cakeage or 5 miles is more important to me :p )

First ever DNF on Sunday past at Lochaber, calf injury suffered during taper came back with a bang shortly after the 8 mile mark, battled onto 12 miles but pain was getting worse and had to call it a day, hospital visit on way home confirmed a small calf tear and 2012 plans up in the air, hoped I could defer entry for Edinburgh till 2013 but upon checking only option was withdrawal which pretty disappointed with.
Trying to remain positive however and already got GNR in September as a small target though I hope to do Helensburgh half in August, 2 marathons i've got my eye on later in the year at Amsterdam & Luton.
This injury isn't the end it's only the beginning:-)

sorry to hear that Cammy, hope it heals soon. My son just found out the same about Edinburgh after his ITB flared up during the rock and roll half and he wanted to maybe defer Edinburgh if it doesn't clear up as is likely. It is quite a lot of money too to just say bye bye too and I remember last year knowing a couple of folks who were running under assumed names as it were because of it (I know its not allowed)

I'm not desperate to run Edinburgh Marathon - not even entered - but if anyone wants to offload their number, i would take it off them for a discounted price. Just a thought.

Upcoming races in Scotland

parkruns

There are 8 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.

Current locations are Aberdeen, Camperdown, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, St Andrews and Strathclyde.

Updates will be provided if we find out any races are not going ahead.
