Just checked my information on the Kilomathon, didn't realise that it was only 13.1KM and not 13.1miles, I'll do this nae bother under 2hrs looking for 1hr 35max is optimistic again:-)

I read mad4it's blog about running to Stirling Castle and people suggesting they would be up for a run and it got me thinking... What about a "History of Scotland" run around Stirling? It could take in, say, Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, the Battle of Bannockburn, Cambuskenneth Abbey, the Old Town, Stirling Bridge, the City Walls. Couple of stern climbs in there and it would be a fair distance all round (though if you missed out Bannockburn, more manageable.)

I did a similar run a couple of years ago Dvorak minus Bannockburn, excellent route. I would recommend extending it out to the Bridge of Allan Brewery though ;-).

Pubs? What would I know about pubs? In Stirling? Though a Settle Inn/ Whistlebinkies/ Portcullis combo on the way up might mean that you never actually reached the castle. |

parkruns
There are 8 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.
Current locations are Aberdeen, Camperdown, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, St Andrews and Strathclyde.
Updates will be provided if we find out any races are not going ahead.
