I did the Stirling Sprint in 2010. My swimming is awful so was 2nd last out the pool but made back time on the cycle. The run has a bit of a short sharp hill which you do twice in the Sprint (2 laps). I would go for it!  I`ve done 3 tris and enjoyed them all , even if I was very slow in the swim.

I did the novice in 2010 after having to drop down from the sprint due to a jiggered back. Hated every second of it - but only due to lack of training (i.e. absolutely none!!). I've done quite a few tris (novice, sprint & a standard) and would say - just go for it! Although you've got a lot more a lot closer have you not HP? Alford, Huntly, Westhill etc...? I've already got an entry in for one this year and hoping to do another one, maybe two... |

HP, you been dropped by Bert McIntosh too huh? Stirling not open for entries yet but Lochore Meadows is. That's supposed to be nice for beginners. Get an entry in and you'll get to chick me on the run (again).

Dangerously close to spam but this looks like an interesting offer so heads up for any scottish fetchies close to Glasgow. Itison is offering unlimited access for 2 months to Scottish Military fitness classes in Bellahouston or Kelvingrove parks for £19 instead of £56. The offer expires 11th @07:30 and I know there are always gotchas with these offers but on the off chance its just what you're looking for go check it out. |

Lochore Meadows is in Fife, not too far from where the Loch Leven half marathon is held. Sprint tri, 750 metre OW swim (I used to do my OW swin sessions there), 20k cycle and 5k run. I think the cycle's a bit undulating but the run as far as I know is pretty flat & along the paths round the country park.

There are 8 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.
Current locations are Aberdeen, Camperdown, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, St Andrews and Strathclyde.
Updates will be provided if we find out any races are not going ahead.
