Does anyone know what time the Water of Leith half starts next weekend? And is it Balerno > Leith direction?

It's def Balerno to Leith Duchess (downhill, there'd be a riot if it was other way!). I think they do some kind of bussing people up if you go to Leith. But if you can make your own way, then Balerno is start. It's a handicap so faster runners start later.

Did you receive your entry invitation by email? That had times on. 9am bus from Leith. First runners start 10am from Balerno. There's an expected finish time of 12 midday, so everyone expected to finish within 2 hrs. It's also 13.5 miles, so a smidge over half mara distance.

"Cost (£7) includes a pre-race coach ride from near the finish line in Leith to the start beyond Balerno. There will be baggage vehicles travelling..."

Hah, I'm not running it! It's just it's practically past home, so i was thinking about heading down to be a supporter: cheery words/insults/jelly babies sort of thing. Thanks. :-)

Usually starts at 10am with a handicap start - last starters go around 10:40 with ETA at Leith 12:00 if everyone runs to handicap.

Just realised Happy beat me to it :-(

I got my son to wait for me in Roseburn park as my unoffcial water stop and one man support team one year.....

I will look out for you Duchess. I shall be steaming Leithwards Tomorrow after a night with the Proclaimers tonihgt. First ever hung-over marathon. Cannae wait.

Upcoming races in Scotland

parkruns

There are 8 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.

Current locations are Aberdeen, Camperdown, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, St Andrews and Strathclyde.

Updates will be provided if we find out any races are not going ahead.
