Scotty, I think a few Fuds would be interested in the 7 Hills fun-run. Would we be welcome?

Paisley 10k was great too. Only signed up last week and couldn't believe the number of people that took part. Oh, and I broke the 60min barrier and got myself a wee PB today

Water of Leith 10k was a great race yesterday. Well done to Harmeny for staging it. The 7 Hills outing is on Sunday 23 Sept at 9 leaving from outside Marks & Spencer in Princes St. All welcome. Its a tough 15 miler with a couple of thousand ft ascent

Maybe :-)G, maybe! It was a very fast race...I think I got overtaken by 4 folk and overtook 5 including a lady about 20 feet from the finish (I felt a bit guilty at that but she slowed down for the chap taking photos). I really enjoy handicap races but my pacing at them is awful..first mile yesterday in 7:27 (only 19 seconds slower than my 1 mile race time this year :-o) Held on for dear life though. I`ll be back next year for sure. Re the 7 Hills: run route is here: gb.mapometer.com Facebook event & group details here: facebook.com |

Thanks Fraserfish - Never got much chance to talk to anybody yesterday, i reckon the wrong time to talk to you was straight after you crossed the finish line Getting a lot of constructive comments from the runners regarding the race yesterday and it's all good. The biggest issue i have is the Hawick 10k is on the same day as the Melrose Race. There aren't that many races in the Borders so that doesn't please me. If i have it the week before it will clash with Hawick and Haddington Half Marathons, if i have it the following week it could clash with the Scottish Half in Glasgow. Considering 8 FUDS turned up from West Lothian plus a good number turned up from the Lothians/Central belt, i don't think it would be a difficult choice for them to make. I know it is always going to clash with something, but i am concerned with the Hawick 10k... It might just mean the locals will have to make a straight choice. I would rather have a solution. |

Hope this question doesn't seem daft...but do Parkruns count as races? I've done hardly any 5k races but chalking up a few Camperdown Parkruns now. I'm not sure if I can count them and I wouldn't know how to add it anyway!
