When I read that last night Smout, I thought it said Helensburgh. I thought: flattish, but a buggy half would be a challenge ;-)

I said that if I did Musselburgh again, I'd go over the week before with a lawnmower.

The racecourse part of the route towards the end could be a bit bumpy...

Tanks folks. Pretty sure the route itself is fine - it's an offroad buggy with big wheels so long as there's no big deep marshland with all the wet weather! :) It's whether the race folks will allow it is the bigger question. If the route's too tough in places you just have to walk an let folks past :)

Acht a half would be fine - I've done 10 straight off and 12 with Parkrun an cafe break in the middle. He's getting heavier mind!

Yup, some grass, Smout - it'll add to the adventure for you and Smoutlet. The path down the coast has almost completely been tarmaced, but isn't very wide, so might be difficult to overtake runners with a buggy/overtake a buggy. Why not just drop the race organiser an email?

Smout, I'm afraid the answer from the Race Director is no. :-( Not sure I agree but too late notice for me to challenge that further. Looking at today's weather it might make a bit of sense as the course was looking a bit churned up the last I heard. I'm sure the course would have been checked last night but I'm afraid the golf course was more of a draw for me so I didn't make it.

I`m going for physio on my ankle tomorrow. I aim to, somehow, get round Musselburgh on Saturday. I doubt I`ll tackle the mile relays next week, the North Berwick Law hill race the week after :-( and don`t know about the Forth Bridge 10k. I`m really concerned about the Glen Ogle Ultra too. Watch this space...FRB 10k and Glen Ogle are sold out and there may be an entry to both going begging....

The sun is going to shine at Musselburgh and there will be a couple of Fetchie Romans there too to highlight Falkirk Parkrun's one year anniversary;-)
