Good luck KP. Was considering doing the route up Arthur`s Seat that Craig you and me did, as opposed to the Stairway To Heaven. Will decide how knackered I am and how slidy the grass is first

any top tips for races at the end of July and start of August guys? I have September sorted but I am a lazy cow and need races in the diary to keep me focussed on training. I have the first and third week of July away so miss the Meadows 5k. I live in West Lothian and am happy to go anywhere that is do-able with driving there and back on race day but because of my super slow speed don't like doing really small races where marshalls are having to stay behind after everyone else to wait for me. Thanks for any advice. Oh and good luck to all the WHW peeps next week, was chatting with the guy in Run and Become today about it and it does sound brilliant for you hardy athletes, maybe one day for me...

The way we did it...Ravelston Dykes, up the lane, follow path to top then to right. Keep zoo fence on your left. Go down steps then diagonally right through the meadow (water station). Then up and path on right. If you keep mast fence to your left you`ll come out at Tower (checkpoint). Then retrace steps, right after meadow and along to trail down just beore Kaimes Rd or down Kaimes Rd itself

This could be carnage. The only other bit I'm no sure of is through the golf course.

You don`t need to...I`ve got a different exit plan which avoids the golf course and gorse bushes. Check out miles 9 to 10 gmap-pedometer.com
