I am thinking about turning up and running the dechmont 10k tomorow morning. Can anyone tell me if it's all super speedy people and I'll just feel a bit silly? Had a look at times from last year and I don't mind coming in the last few but just not sure yet. Eek.

hi princess, it may have some super speedy people but it also has me and others plodding along so you won't be last;) Its a good fun race for those of us not in the top three, ahem, so do come along. I honestly do think it was my favourite race last year and I was in the last five finishers but had a blast at it.

I certainly won't be in the top three, maybe one day. Lol! Plodding along does sound likely kind of race. I have my clothes all laid out in case I wake up and decide I should go along :)

come for the clootie dumpling at the end and the fab bag with a tunnocks caramel wafer and some shortbread! Honestly, all those other races with their hydration tablets and energy bars, when I finish running I want a big slice of cake and the Dechmont Law 10k is the only race that realises that:)

Just had to look up clootie dumpling on Wikipedia. Lol. A biscuit at the end of the race?! That'd do it for me! Lol.

Upcoming races in Scotland

parkruns

There are 8 regular parkruns in Scotland which are held every Saturday at 9:30am.

Current locations are Aberdeen, Camperdown, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, St Andrews and Strathclyde.

Updates will be provided if we find out any races are not going ahead.
