It's in the middle of Edinburgh, Ally-C, I think that was doing quite well ;-) Looking at the results, I suspect the male/female first finishers came up together from south of That London. But on holiday, rather than serial baggers (yes, I have been parkrun Police :-p ).

On the results in general, quite a few over an hour, 13, then not many in the jog/walk band, 19: and the other 94% were under 40 minutes. Median time was 26:59, and there were 51 new parkrunners.

Holyrood was good and I reckon could accommodate much bigger numbers. I did hear they only had 450 tokens though.

K5 Gus, I ran Kilmacolm last year and got a PB. Sjjh has described it well, it only has one hill of note and the majority of the course is on the cycle path which is a slight down hill going out and not challenging coming back. Starts and ends in a nice wee park. Decent event.

Chapleton10k today. My first race in ages (no offence to parkruns) but forgot how much I enjoy a bib on my shirt and a couple of hundred others around me. My time was pretty bleugh but I know where I’m at.

Well organised and friendly event. Highly recommended.

Pretty hard course in muggy conditions, pity the rain went off tbh.

I walked around the Holyrood parkrun today. I’ve walked it before but today I was thinking about what it would be like to run it. Obviously the first mile climb is a challenge but the last 3 k to the finish will be a downhill quad killer.

What is Holyrood course surface like? I'll be visiting friends in The Meadows this weekend, so will try to get over to that parkrun. Just trying to decide whether to bring road shoes or road-to-trail.
