Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Slobbing around has it's place... but let's face it, in the end you feel like a slob.

I spent my entire PhD in pyjamas or Lycra but I did go out occasionally so dressed up. Now that we can’t go out we have to make believe!

Great thread resurrection!

I'm a perfume freak too and totally approve Quimby - I'm wearing Vengeance Extreme by Juliette has a Gun - it makes me feel good and gives me good memories. I was worried that I might go through it a bit too quickly and then thought 'stuff it'.

I remember Fleecy in PhD mode, all lycra, but dressed up for a comedy night out. Bright and lovely.

I didn't get to go to the Ball this year. I'll have to get dressed up instead. There will be photos.

I wish I had got round to binning my slob clothes (used for cleaning jobs) as then I couldn't wear them.

I love the dresses! I thought about wearing skirts/dresses when we had sun last week, but I get major chub rub on my thighs!

I've been trying to use all the fancy/expensive/gifted body lotions I've accumulated that I would always save for 'best' or going out. Only problem being that some of them are so rich your clothes stick to you when you try to get dressed! I have some nice perfumes, but I haven't worn them since lockdown as I'm not going anywhere to smell nice, and OH has no sense of smell anyway.

I'm thinking of Snag's shorts for thigh rub.
I put the smelly lotions on at night so they soak in :-)

I’m another one who has cutlery/ crockery/glasses for best.

Clothes and underwear too....I used to work in a lingerie shop many moons ago and still have lovely sets I bought and never wear....right now is the time :-)
