Winded
I get cramp sometimes during exercise but more often afterwards. mostly it is only if I've been trying hard for a few hours - say 3+ hours of sustained effort on a bike on a hot day. If I use tabs in my water bottles then I don't get cramp, the ones I use are High 5 Zero. So I use them a lot & I often have one after I've stopped too. They work in that I don't get cramp but it seems the public health buzz this week is as much about salt content as anything else - and I'm shovelling salts into my drinks. Are these things doing anything to me apart from stopping the cramp? Should I be concerned about how much I use? |

Provided your kidneys are working OK and you aren't making up the solution any stronger than the recommended concentration, you shouldn't come to any harm at all from using electrolyte drinks

Although, if you added a spoonful of sugar, you would die, apparently.
