Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Looks good. We sailed our Wanderer at Roadford Lake (in Devon, largest inland water for miles around) today and enjoyed not having to plan for the tides and mudbanks of the Exe Estuary!

Yay, got out for fist time. All good

About 1 hours sailing, plus 3 hours faffing so 8.30 to 12.30. All went fine. I'll get more confidence rigging and launching with repetition. Think I might join a club though because really too busy to just launch in public places.

Beautiful day 19C, light winds. And MrsS(rrr) was crew and was great and enjoyed it too!

Happy looking crew there, G! :)
Lovely day for it. MrsC is at Forfar this afternoon, racing her Laser.

Ah, racing, I remember that! ;-) It was more like an obstacle course or dodgems at Lochore. 7 or 8 sailing dinghies, but 30 - 40 plus of various paddleboards, kanoes, kayaks, swimmers, fishing boats etc! Must get somewhere a bit quieter! :-) G

About This Thread

Arrrr, yo ho ho ho, ahoy there me hearties heart etc.

Pirate speech optional.

Might just be me and Angus Clydesdale, but anyone else into sailing? I'm just getting back to dinghy sailing and loving it. I got canoe during lockdown cos a mate at work cajoled me into it. Then paddleboards because of the good people on the Kayaking and Canoeing thread. But when it's windy, paddling is hard. Sailing is so much better.

So... anyone? :-) G
