EP: DO you find the optical HR is all over the place for strength stuff with the Garmin? (I know there's a thread all about this but I was doing sit-ups/press ups yesterday. Breathing heavy and all and HR dropped to 60 during the session, when my recorded overnight resting is about 52-55.)

Nellers absolutely it happens to me all the time .Yesterday a 50 minute kettlebell workout working hard and my HR dropped also to 75.RHR for me is 42-46.

The same happens on a run if it is cold the first mile is something silly like 80 when the first mile is uophll and I am breathing heavy.

I use a strap on my run now
I have 2 - a BT one for the turbo and the garmin tri one for running because the BT one freaks when I run around the estate and my HR drops and freezes!
